APPARATUSA
group or combination of instruments, machinery, tools, materials, etc., having a particular function or intended for a specific use: Our town has excellent fire-fighting apparatus.

HYDRANT
An upright pipe with a spout, nozzle, or other outlet, usually in the street, for drawing water from a main or service pipe, esp. for fighting fires.

BICARBONATE
The radical group HCO3 or a compound, such as sodium bicarbonate, containing it.
FOAM
A mass of bubbles of air or gas in a matrix of liquid film, especially an accumulation of fine, frothy bubbles formed in or on the surface of a liquid, as from agitation or fermentation.


EXTINGUISHER
Any of various portable mechanical devices for spraying and extinguishing a fire with chemicals.
